Activ8 Health & Fitness have introduced the mywellness® app by Technogym, which is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. This cutting-edge platform helps you to stay motivated and get the most out of your training by tracking your activity both in and outside of our clubs. You can also link with other popular apps such as Strava, Fitbit and Polar meaning you can monitor everything all in one place. You will not only be able to track your workouts, but also receive personalised fitness plan put together for you by our fitness advisors, direct to your phone. We are offering a mywellness £6 package to new and existing members – the perfect way to kick start your health and fitness journey (details on what this includes is below).
BRAND NEW to Activ8’s Technogym myllweness® app – live stream and on demand fitness classes! Find out more here.
In the £6 package you will receive your mywellness band. A band will be assigned to you which will enable you to swipe into the gym with ease. The band will interact with the gym turnstiles and the class ticketing kiosk for faster, easier entry. You will be able to scan the equipment which will log you onto the machine to record your workout. You can also scan the mywellness pedestal when you are completing a TANITA Scale body reading, which will automatically upload the results to your app.
TANITA doesn’t just measure your weight and body fat, it measures…
You can hop on a machine and scan the kit straight away using the QR scanners on the machines. This will allow you to log on to each machine and view video tutorials on how to perform a variety of exercises and view notes from your fitness advisor.
What are MOVEs? They measure your activity levels every day. The more often you move and the faster you move, the more MOVEs you accumulate. Unlike the amount of calories burnt, MOVEs scores are independent of body weight, so they are a better way of comparing your activity levels with that of your friends.
MOVERGY is simply how active you are over two weeks, it will tell you what your activity level is. The different levels are Low Active, Moderately Active, Active and Very Active. Ask an advisor to find out more information on the mywellness app.
