Welcoming Two New Personal Trainers to Activ8

We’re proud to introduce two new personal trainers to the Activ8 team. Alicia and Iszak. Both bring a unique perspective to fitness, shaped by their own journey. Their addition strengthens our commitment to offering personalised, expert support to every member of Activ8.

Alicia’s Journey

Alicia’s story is one many can relate to, starting out nervous and unsure, and growing into a confident, passionate Personal Trainer.

“I began my fitness journey anxious and afraid that people would judge me, I would keep to a quiet corner of the gym and only stay for 30 minutes tops. Slowly I adventured into other parts of the gym, where I found my love for Strength Training, lifting weight and gaining confidence when I never believed I could. I can’t get enough of it now!”

Her experience inspired her to become a personal trainer and help others discover their own confidence.

“This inspired me to expand my knowledge and gain the qualifications, so I can help others achieve the same, finding their passions and igniting the spark of their fitness journey to come.”

Alicia’s training philosophy is rooted in challenge and growth.

“My training philosophy is, if you don’t challenge your weaknesses, they will never become your strengths!
If you train with me, I will guide you through any barriers and get you working towards your goals! You may leave the session feeling ready to drop to the floor, but we’ll have had a good laugh along the way!”

She specialises in strength-based routines and HIIT circuits, with a particular love for training shoulders, back, and biceps.

“My favourite type of workout to teach is any Strength-Based Routine, this comes from a personal passion for strength training. If I was to choose my favourite muscles to train, I would pick, Shoulders, Back & Biceps, it leaves you feeling strong and empowered! My favourite style of training to teach is HIIT Circuits because it challenges you to push your limits, while having fun. Good things come to those who sweat!”

For those just starting out, Alicia offers this advice:

“If you are feeling nervous or scared to be in the gym, please pause and take a moment to remind yourself that everyone is here to do the same thing. To work on themselves!”

Iszak’s Approach

Iszak’s motivation to become a personal trainer came from the impact fitness had on his own life.

“I was inspired by the impact fitness had on my own life. Physically and mentally. Helping others experience that same transformation is incredibly rewarding. Seeing clients grow in confidence, strength, and mindset keeps me passionate every day.”

His approach is tailored, sustainable, and empowering.

“My philosophy is all about balance, consistency, and empowerment. I tailor training to each client’s goals and lifestyle, focusing on sustainable progress. Clients can expect a supportive, motivating environment where they’re challenged, educated, and celebrated.”

Iszak enjoys teaching calisthenics and hypertrophy-focused training, blending bodyweight control with muscle-building techniques.

“I really enjoy calisthenics and muscle-building workouts. Calisthenics helps develop control, coordination, and strength using just bodyweight, while hypertrophy-focused training builds lean muscle and boosts confidence. Combining both creates a powerful, functional physique and keeps training exciting.”

His advice for beginners is simple and encouraging:

“Start with small, achievable goals and stay consistent. Don’t worry about perfection, just focus on progress. Celebrate every win, and remember that showing up is already a success. Your journey is unique, so trust the process.”
