National Fitness Day 2019
National Fitness Day 2019 is on Wednesday 25th September and is held in a bid to highlight the role that physical activity plays across the UK. Each year National Fitness Day helps us to raise awareness of the importance of leading a healthier and more active lifestyle.
It encourages everyone to host their own fitness events to help everyone enjoy the benefits of physical activity, this includes:
- leisure centres
- gym operators
- equipment suppliers
- outdoor fitness providers
- personal trainers
- members of the public
One of the biggest aims of National Fitness Day is to make this the most active day of the year and Activ8 are rallying to help!
Activ8’s National Fitness Day
This year for National Fitness Day, Activ8 gyms are hosting a Beat the Trainer Challenge and every member who is able to beat one of our eleven champions will be entered into a prize draw to win 1 months free gym membership!
Twelve of Activ8’s finest health advisors have chosen their own challenges, set the benchmark and are waiting to be challenged. Do you think you have what it takes?
All three Activ8 gyms are taking part on Wednesday 25th September – Stockton Splash, Billingham Forum and Thornaby Pool – and any of the challenges can be completed at any of the facilities. To take part all you need to do is speak with a member of staff who will get the challenge up on the iPad, get the stopwatch ready and motivate you while you complete your attempt. It’s as simple as that!
Beat the Trainer Challenges
As mentioned, twelve of Activ8’s health advisors have completed their own challenge for members to take part in and try to beat them at what they do best, here is a list of the challenges that you can take part in and the trainer that you will be going up against:

Other National Fitness Day Activities with Tees Active
If attempting one of our Beat the Trainer Challenges isn’t something that you fancy taking part in but you do want to do a fitness related activity then don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
This Wednesday 25th September 2019 you can swim for FREE at any Tees Active pool between 12pm-1pm if you take part in the Stand Up To Cancer Swimming Challenge, log cards can be collected from reception where a donation can also be made.
