Read the FAQs below before attending a sauna & steam session.
Before you visit please be aware of what we expect from you in Tees Active’s full guidelines here.
All sauna & steam sessions are 1.5 hours long. You can book onto a session at any time if there are spaces available and do not have to stay for the entire duration of the session.
Each session will be allocated a wristband and you will receive this on check in at reception.
Recommended guidance is that you should spend 20/30 in the sauna room and then take a cold shower before heading into the steam room. With the steam room, it’s recommended to spend 6mins/12mins before having another cold shower, then repeat once more.
You can use the steam room first, but you should not exceed the recommended duration in either room.
Anyone aged 16+ can attend our sauna & steam sessions.
All spaces must be booked either in advance using our online booking platform or with the venue’s reception. You can see session times on the timetable below.
Please be aware that whilst sauna & steam sessions at IB Leisure are mixed, sessions at Billingham Forum are single sex only.
