Active Health is designed to help participants who have a medical condition (not directly related to being overweight) which can be improved by increasing their physical activity levels. Find out more about Active Health by clicking below.
Each programme has slightly different criteria, this information can be found on their pages, however participants for any of our weight management programmes must be aged 16+, live in the Borough of Stockton on Tees and have a BMI of 25+.

An individual who satisfies all the following eligibility criteria (and none of the exclusion criteria) is eligible to access the Active Health Programme:
Exclusion criteria
The ethos of the Active Health programme is to be accessible to as many people as possible, and reasonable adjustments will be made to support people to access it. However, an individual who meets any one or more of the following exclusion criteria is not eligible to access the programme and will not be eligible for referral:
The programmes are delivered across all Tees Active venues – Billingham Forum, Stockton Splash, Thornaby Pavilion and IB Leisure.
If you take part in Energise or Lite 4 Life you will get free and unlimited access to all Activ8 gyms, pools and fitness classes for the duration of the course. As well as learn about healthy eating and taking care of your body.
If you take part in Active Health you get subsidised gym, swim and fitness class sessions to help overcome health issues.
